Bob Lutman and Sharon Caraway Smith married in December 1980 at Sharon's home in San Jose, California, one day before Sharon's 37th birthday.

Bob and first wife Carolyn (nickname Carrie) Hurt married in April 1972 in San Jose, California, and had two daughters: Tara Lynn in August 1973 and Shandra Dawn (nickname Shani, rhymes with "Bonny") in November 1975.

Second daughter Shandra married Jeff Weese in August 1997. Their three daughters and one son are Mikayla (nickname Mac, age13), Samantha (nickname Sam, and sometimes Mantha, age 11), Sydney (nickname "Hurricane Sydney" or Syd, age 9) and baby Tommy (born June 2002, age 7). They live in Lakewood, Colorado, near Denver.

First daughter Tara married Turkish naval officer Cihan (say GEE hahn) Agacayak in February 2002 and they live in Golcuk, Turkey, several hours east of Istanbul.

Bob has a 5-year-older brother George, who lives in Asheboro, North Carolina, is married to Loretta Heffner from Columbia, Missouri, and they have five grown children (Denis, Greta, Alice, and twins Bridget and Ingrid. Greta, Bridget and Ingrid are married).

Bob also has a 4-year-younger sister Shirley, who is married to Jerry Lewis and lives in Overland Park, Kansas. Shirley has one son Eric from her first marriage, and Eric is married and living on Long Island, New York, with one young son, Samson. Jerry has a married son Kale, with two children, and an unmarried daughter Tane, from his first marriage.

After their divorce in 1977, Bob's first wife Carrie married Bob Ross in 1979. They had one daughter, Maureen (nicknamed Rini at home, and Mo at Santa Clara University), born in 1980. Maureen lives in San Jose, California and recently became engaged.

Sharon and first husband Howard Smith had two sons: Matt (February 1968) and Pete (August 1970).

Matt is married to Kimberly, and they have one young son Ian Daniel Smith, born in June 2002 and a daughter Kayla, born in March 2004. Matt and Kimberly live in Fountain Valley, California.

Pete is married to Stacey, who has a daughter Mary Jane and a son Charlie, who live with them. Pete has two sons Josh (March 1991), who is in his first year of Junior College and lives with his mother Sarah, and Sieren (July 1993), who splits half time between Pete and Sarah's homes and is a junior in high school. Peter and Stacey and family live in Camino, California, near Placerville.

Sharon has a 2-year-older sister Jeane, who lives with her husband Wendell (nickname Red) in Texas.

Sharon's mother, Gretchen Caraway, live in San Jose, CA. Her dad, Ed, passed away in August 2009 and is missed.
