These four stones, part of a larger circle of stones, is in a fenced oval, also containing a small grove of trees. It's clear that the stones were in a pasture first, then the trees grew among the stones. The oval fence is in a combined sheep and cow pasture, featuring more sheep and cow poop than you have ever seen before. Somebody's gonna track some into the car. Anyway, this is the Glebe Stone Circle, is in County Mayo, and is just two miles east of Cong, near the Dromoland Castle.
We're not sure if the fence is to keep tourists or animals away from the stones, but I go with animals, since I'm inside the fence.
