TURKEY, SUMMER OF 2004

The map above shows in green the path Tara, Sharon and I drove on our 8-day
tour of the Turkish Black Sea Coast and return. We started at Tara and Cihan's
home in Golcuk, and traveled a general clockwise direction. When we were here
in 2001, I drew an imaginary north-south line through the middle (see orange
line above) and said, "I'm never going east of this line." Cihan convinced
me that it would be safe along the coast, and from that I planned our return
trip, not reviewing it with him. When Tara called him to say we were in Bayburt,
he said, "Oooooh, you're really far east!" The trip was from Tuesday
8/31 to Tuesday 9/7.
